It's that time again. March Madness time! We need all HOBOs and Friends of HOBO to join the HOBO March Madness pool. It's the HOBOest of all March Madness pools. It's all just for fun, no money involved, but if you win I'm sure you could get Jonesy to give you a high-five if you asked nicely. Join up to see if you are the king of HOBO Hoops Prognostication.

Today we have a picture of the enigma known as Christopher Donald Ormes getting ready to show off his mad skills on the hardwood. It looks like Chris is ready to say something here... Let me know, what is Jonesy saying? Leave it in the comments.
We'll make it a Shankbone weekend with another pic of Tim as a Speedboy. This time, the layup assassin is working his passing skills and looking to hit the open man.
And now the starting lineup for HOBO!
At guard wearing number 10.....
SHANKBONE!!!!
How about we all help Tim out. He requested a slogan in the comments of the G-Mac Attack t-shirt post. Let me hear your best slogans for the guy. You can use any of his plethora of nicknames... Shankbone, Sloppy Joe, Dudley Dawson, Hashbrown, Timber the Kung-Fu Lumberjack, etc., etc. Let me know in the comments.
Here are a couple more pics of a team I coached. These guys I coached in both 5th and 6th grade. The top photo is from 6th grade and the bottom from 5th. As you can see, JJ coached along with me the first year but I canned his ass the next year.
Tell me why you think JJ didn't coach with me the next year. Leave it in the comments.
I coached this group of kids in 6th grade too. I couldn't find a picture from when they were in 6th grade though. All I found was this picture from a tournament when they were in Jr. High. We had about 20 kids total when they were in 6th grade and they had to be broken into two teams.
Back in the day, JJ and I had a pretty illustrious coaching career. We coached 5th and 6th grade for a few years while we were attending Gogo. Of course, a few NBA teams were calling to offer us jobs but we had better things planned.
Here we see Tim and myself showing off "our trophy" from the Gus Macker in Wausau. Okay, you caught us. It's not really our trophy. Let me know in the comments how you think we came to acquire this trophy.
Today's picture features the Seniors from 1998's Speedboys Basketball Squad. To explain the crutches, most people would believe that Gregas probably hurt himself playing basketball. In the comments, be creative, and let me know the "real" way that Gregas hurt himself.
To commemorate tonight's NCAA Championship game and the culmination of March Madness and the Final Four, I will be presenting you with a foursome of Old School Photos.
Many of you may know of the legacy of Team Karnov, the greatest intramural team in history. Team Karnov became a dynasty in Gogebic Community College Intramural Athletics, led by future HOBOs Tim Ellenich, Dustin Filippini, Andrew Gregas, JJ Johnson, and Tom Ruppe they went on to win back-to-back intramural titles in 1999 and 2000. Also, with the help of HOBOs Mike Wilman and Luke Peterson as well as the HOBO legal counsel, Aaron Schenk, and Friend of HOBO Dane Quigley, they captured a GCC Razzle Dazzle Football title.
Team Karnov also competed away from the intramural landscape, in 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 basketball tournaments. Pictured above, one incarnation of Team Karnov took second place in GCC's Spring Thaw Tournament led by HOBOs Dustin Filippini, Tim Ellenich, Andrew Gregas, Tom Ruppe, and Bob Pihlaja as well as good Friend of HOBO, Scotty Stempihar.
