Strangely enough, someone was running a hidden video camera at the Brown wedding reception. They caught this exchange between G-Mac and Shanimal. You can barely understand what they are saying (they were drunk), so the cameraman was good enough to subtitle the film. Thanks for the confidence, Shans!

The mustache contest was a "Giant" success, especially since we were able to include Giant via webcam. The V was packed and the Old Style was flying out of the coolers. You could tell that HOBOs were in town.

First off, I will introduce the new Undisputed HOBO World Mustache Champion... JJ Johnson!

It was a tremendous turnout. I don't know when the last time the V saw this many people when it wasn't a wedding. More information will follow shortly. For now, I need to get some sleep. What I want everyone to do is vote in the poll on the left side of the screen. Pick your favorite stache. To get a better look at all the mustaches, make sure you take a look at the photos in our Flickr photo album.

The live webcast of the mustache contest is now over. Unfortunately, due to some technical difficulties the webcam was unable to stay on for the full time. We will work on this for next year.

It's Mustache Contest Eve, and the mustaches are growing. It's looking like there may be a record number of mustaches at the V. Current numbers are showing 19 competitors for the contest and there may be more.

I just want to make sure everyone invites as many people as they can to the contest. We need as many judges as possible. This means invite your friends, girlfriends, boyfriends, moms, dads, grandparents, dentists, or your posse. We'd like to have at least as many judges as there are competitors and more would be even better. The more the merrier and I'm sure it will be fun for all. People will start meeting at around 8-9:00 at the VFW in Bessemer. This isn't when the judging will be, so don't worry if you may be late. I'm sure alot of people won't be there until a little later. We will have the official judging sometime later in the night when we feel everyone is in attendance.

Also remember, that the HOBOWL is on Friday at 1:00. This will be at the Barber School Field in Yale Location in Bessemer. We currently are expecting a large number of competitors for this too. Even if you don't want to play, make sure you stop by and hang out. Again, invite everyone you can to come watch. There will be FREE BEER and food for all.

In case you haven't heard, HOBO is hosting their 3rd Annual Mustache Contest. The event will be held on November 22nd at the VFW in Bessemer, MI around 8pm.

There are between 11 and 17 mustaches in competition, with a possibility of even more.

Due to the amount of mustaches competing, there is an overwhelming need for judges. You can be one of the select few who has the chance to decide who will be crowned the Undisputed World HOBO Mustache Champion (UWHMC).

Voting is easy, fun and free. Just come down to the V in Btown before 9pm on Nov. 22nd. You can check out the vast array of 'staches and vote for your 3 favorite. Everyone's ballot will be tallied and the mustache with the most votes will win the title belt.

Afterwards, the hobos will paint the town red, promoting mustache growth and awareness. Feel free to come along for the ride, if that would be agreeable. Tell your friends and come support the hobos.

Hello all members and friends. With the contest only 2 weeks aways, I would like to see who is willing to show off their mustache/beard by posting it here on hoboswalk.com. I thought it would be funny if we did this and I am also challenging anyone who visits hoboswalk.com with a mustache to post yours. Maybe we could look at having an online mustache contest/poll with the best mustaches (doesnt have to be this year, future option). A huge part of being a hobo is that we are not afraid to show off a mustache and that we do not discriminate from anyone looking to have fun.
