Gentlemen, this is what we play for...the Coleman Jug. It currently resides in the recroom of South side MVP Showstoppa. I'm thinking maybe some HOBOWL t-shirts for the winning team. While the jug is a great trophy it could be another good promotional idea and also a nice prize for the winner.
While it may be impossible, I think it would be a good idea to get commitments from who is going to be in town for the game. I know Show had a post about this a while back...but I'll try again. I encourage anyone who can attend to confirm on the HOBOWL page. It would be cool to do a draft with the people for sure there, we could always add the game-day-drop-ins to teams to make it fair. It seems like tackle (snow being the only condition) is the way the voting went. I look forward to seeing eveyone there.
I did make a post, but gave way on it to let a post of Gregas's stay at the top of the order. I wanted people to comment to the post to say if they were going to be in town for the festivities that weekend.

1. Will you be in the Greater Bessemer Area during Thanksgiving?
2. Will you participate in the HOBOWL?

4. Will you attend but not participate in either of these events?
T-shirts are a novel idea, Tommy. It would be a bonus for all of the winners. Especially Tommy, I know he likes t-shirts. I think he has his Team Karnov Championship shirt hanging in his trophy case in his bedroom. I would suggest, if we know how many people will be playing that we actually get some t-shirts made and not use the iron-on transfers. They will last longer and look better. They also won't be that much more expensive.

I don't see the problem with just picking teams when we get to the field. Is this really a problem? I'd say we have pretty good luck when we split up the teams, and pretty bad luck when we do a draft. Did anyone else see the Black Team domination of the fourth of July?
I like t-shirts. I like the tackle rule. I agree that the quality-to-price ratio of silk screened t-shirts would be much better than the iron-ons.
I think picking teams when we get there is a good idea too. I like it over the draft. I think it's funnier if we split them up by some thing that is not in any way related to football and is in no way related to the skill of any of the players. Like how we did it last year with North and South. That being said I'd still like an idea of how many and who is planning on attending the festivities.
