I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend. Now, that it's the dreaded Monday after, we're back to the grind, and finally getting over our hangovers, I thought I'd chime in with a little update on some of the 4th of July.
As you probably know, I made a surprise appearance for the HOBO Induction. Thanks to a kind co-worker, I as able to get my shift covered. I decided to make a JJ-esque appearance and stop the show decked out in my seersucker apparel. Because of my short 4th of July, I won't be able to recap the whole depth of 4th of July activities. I will leave that to everyone else. Please chime in on your experiences and give us recaps of each of the events. I'm sure there are some HOBOs and FOHs out there who couldn't make it and are eager to hear some firsthand reports.

It was a tremendous week overall. With the 4th being on a Friday, it made for a long week though. It seemed that some people were running on fumes on the 4th, myself included. The events we did this year were great with the only problem being we never started on time!!! That was about the only kink in the HOBO armor.... Memories from this week. First, the number of people that know us and hang with us is growing every year. Also, I can't believe we have as much pull in the city as we do. When someone from the Chamber of Commerce speaks to us, that means something. Boycotting the Poker Run? We won 3 of 5 nights. Suck one..... Show Stopping it (a la me for the 2007 mustache contest)...... Me and Show walking, for miles, and miles, on the morning of the 4th not knowing where we were going and getting home at 6:30 A.M...... Peaches verbal slam during the kickball game. Most epic slam in recent memory. If you dont know, ask him. I spilled my entire beer laughing at it..... A dapper Smokey for Formal Night..... Tommy coming through all week with keg buying. Clutch..... The nicknaming of Casey Barto..... which by the way, Jizzy Peaches is way more disgusting..... T.O. knowing his role..... Cheeks Daddy being Cheeks Daddy.... Hopefully I can remember more of what went on, but these were the first things that stuck out in my mind. Next up, Mustache Contest. Everyone is gunning for Cheeks. I think that this is finally Giles year to take it. If you cant get with Giles, you have a problem with yourself. STEP YA GAME UP!!!!
